· Tragic characters are those who draw the attention of the viewer. Any book movie or painting touches the audience when it speaks about universal agonies and questions. Archetypes embodies the universal problems of human condition. The figure is out of time and out of place.


· At first I wasn’t confident with cardboard as a material I wanted it to be smooth and well cut covered with white paper for hiding the material. Gradually I realized that it doesn’t have to be hidden, letting it be roughly cut feels more organic, it transforms the cheapest and most forgotten material , into a figure, becoming a character on its own. I also didn’t cut out the advertisement lettering printed on. I kept them as part of the figure , it resembles the temporal nature of the figure and of the artwork.
